Project Goal: Manage the DREs and suppliers for glass and washing/wiping systems. Ensure all parts are built to spec, validated, homologated, and delivered to build sites according to schedule.

Role: Engineering manager

Details:

• Lead a team of engineers to design, source, and deliver parts for the LV vehicle. Responsible systems include 12 glass systems and 2 wiper systems.

• Support and delegate essential tasks to ensure parts are delivered to-spec and in a timely manner.

• Travel to build sites to oversee manufacturing and proper installation of parts, while also supporting trials and helping to improve the manufacturing process.

• Travel to supplier manufacturing locations to oversee part production and troubleshoot issues.

• Responsible systems include:

  • Windshield

  • Windshield wiper system

  • Roof glass system (front and rear)

  • Backlite

  • Rear wiper system

  • Streetview glass (industry first)

  • Drop glass

  • Front quarter encapsulated glass

  • Safari glass system (front and rear)

  • Rear door fixed glass

  • Rear quarter fixed glass
