Project Goal: Design, source, and validate all glass systems for the Canoo LV program.

Role: Design release engineer

Details:

• Designed 12 glass systems, starting from A-surfaces and carrying through to production-level parts on-vehicle.

• Subsystems included glass (tempered and laminated), encapsulation, moldings, glass locators, and adhesives.

• Chose suppliers for all systems and supported site audits.

• Created STS documents (system technical specifications), DFMEAs, and DVPs.

• Worked with suppliers to design the glass systems for manufacturing (DFM), homologation, and optimum packaging.

• Travelled to build site to support manufacturing efforts related to the glass systems.
