Exterior Metal Trim

Company: Faraday Future

Project Goal: Design and tool exterior metal trim components, specifically quarter belt trim components and door top molding trim.

Role: Design engineer / release engineer

Details:

• Supported design and led release of three exterior metal trim components:

  • Front quarter outer belt trim (aluminum)

  • Rear quarter outer belt trim (aluminum)

  • Door top molding system (aluminum; longest metal part on vehicle)

• Led supplier relationship and owned deliverables.

• Defined GD&T scheme for components listed above.

• Worked with manufacturing team to optimize design for manufacturing and to outline part installation procedure.
